Kiwi Inspiration

I’ve just had the opportunity to read through two years worth of weekly inspirational messages from my friends at Success Leaves Clues.

It reminded me that this is one of the things that took us completely by surprise when we came here: that so many Kiwi’s were hugely inspirational and they shared it. It was as if they lived in an “Opportunity” or “Positivity Bubble” which was so very different from the UK we left.

What struck me was that although most of us emigrating here have a view of Kiwis as go-getters; believers in the “fair-go” principle: it wasn’t really said that they worked so hard to inspire others. Essentially, I noticed that all the forums talk about Kiwi’s more as being “poor and happy” than being entrepreneurs who want to excel and go as far as they can. I think it’s a shame, because so many of the Kiwis we have met and become friends with are indeed entrepreneurs. They start and build businesses; they teach others; they inspire others.

I do love getting my Monday Morning Inspiration. It’s often a great start to the week to have a burst of positive thought, and to learn something.

You can subscribe here to get your own messages delivered to your inbox every Monday.Thumbs Up
