About 10% of the people doing hubbies job in New Zealand are Kiwis. If all the expats up and left - there would be no-one left to handle the jobs. Im aslo seeing a frightening number of people on Work Visas who are still taking for granted that they live here and not really grasping that they can lose it all at the shake of a tree. We could take 11 million, just think of the boost to GDP, there's loads of room down south. Even the Wairarapa isn't exactly stuffed to the gunnels with people. Then we wouldn't have to worry about food miles for exporting beef/lamb, since there would be a huge domestic market. Anyhow, the most interesting thing I found with the poll was that half of the EU's potential 80m migrants, want to stay in the EU somewhere. Cool. I kinda like this graphic from the Gallup poll, showing by numbers where people want to go.

Yanks and their sense of entitlement! It's good to be reminded to be thankful.
